Swindon came from behind to defeat AFC Wimbledon 3-2 and dent the visitors' play-off hopes, with Dawson Devoy's brace proving decisive.

Joe Lewis put Wimbledon ahead in the second minute in Wiltshire but Gavin Gunning's hosts hit back strongly in the second half.

Aaron Drinan levelled the scores six minutes after the restart, before substitute Devoy's double in the space of 13 minutes put them 3-1 up.

Lewis pulled a goal back for Johnnie Jackson's men and Udoka Godwin-Malife's added-time dismissal made it a nervous finish for Swindon, but Wimbledon were unable to make the extra man count in the closing stages.

The defeat means they are now seven points behind seventh-placed Crawley with two matches remaining.

Swindon are 19th, following a third win in four matches.

    We had a good go this year, but will fall a few points short. Still, had one of the top ten Wimbledon moments in my 40 years of supporting this amazing club.

    Good luck to Doncaster (or any of the three legitimate clubs who make Top 7) in the playoffs

    We are not 7 (SEVEN) points behind any team:

    5th Crewe 70pts (8 diff); 6th Barrow 67pts (5 diff); 7th Crawley 65pts (3 diff); 8th Doncaster 64 pts (2 diff); 9th Gillingham 63pts (1 diff), 10th AFC WIMBLEDON 62pts!

    7 points behind the creepies?
    Disappointing, but Wimbledon have given it a real go, so there is plenty to be optimistic about come next season, both on and off the pitch.

      Heard it rumoured that Mr Gunning will be in charge next year on new contract. Clem must've thought continuity has a value if true, or perhaps GG is the cheap option? I am naturally cynical both of rumours and the actions of football club owners......

    Poor match today with some diabolical officials. Swindon are a poor side this season. Wimbledon didn't look like play off contenders, lots of strong arm tactics that went unpunished and just swung the ball in the box at every opportunity, hoping their physicality would make up for the lack of skill.
