Sheffield United will play in the EFL next season after suffering relegation from the Premier League.
Their fate was sealed with a 5-1 defeat against Newcastle United at St James' Park on Saturday afternoon - however their official relegation is pending Everton and Nottingham Forest's appeals over their respective points deductions.
Anel Ahmedhodzic gave the South Yorkshire side inside five minutes on Tyneside, before Alexander Isak equalised.
Newcastle then clicked into gear in the second half with Isak, Bruno Guimaraes and a Ben Osborn own goal putting the game beyond doubt.
Callum Wilson then added insult to injury with a fifth for Newcastle.
The Blades were only promoted to the top flight last term after securing automatic promotion alongside Burnley and Luton in 2022/23.

But their time in the Premier League has now been cut short with three matches still to play.
They will be replaced by Leicester City who secured promotion on Friday night before emulating Jamie Vardy's famous 2016 party.
So far this term, Sheffield United have won just three games and drawn seven to give them a total of 16 points so far.
While scoring 34 times, the south Yorkshire side have conceded a staggering 97 goals so far this term - a tally which has contributed to many of their problems.

It means that Sheffield United could reach the unwanted landmark of 100 goals conceded - the first time it has been done in a 38-game Premier League season, with Swindon reaching a century of goals conceded in a 42-game campaign in 1993/94.
Upon returning to the EFL, Chris Wilder's side will be handed a two-point deduction as a result of the club defaulting on a number of payments to other clubs last term.
They'll also be handed an additional two-point suspended deduction if they default on any further payments.
